design dies available. And it becomes just something else to move out of the way on the cutting table. For blocks that use rounded piecing, like drunkard's path its pretty handy, but if I am cutting straight sided pieces a rotary cutter is plenty fast enough. I imagine paper piecers like it because you can accurately cut the fabric before applying fabric, but I think its easier to cut the fabric after applying the backer.

The major consideration for me is buying dies for one of projects. My wife pretty much agrees with me. We wanted one but the price is high and the benefit limited but if someone gave me one, I'd sure take it.

I dye quilting fabric and I've thought about kits and it would be handy for that.
