I’ve read three posts, two cartoons and a political message, so far today, all of which subjected me to that foolishness.

OTOH I’m 69 and my 50yo partner can’t figure out even the universal remote that I got because four remote controls were too complicated.

Sometimes you just have to power everything down (completely, pull the plug from the wall) to resolve some differences of opinion between the devices as to their various states. Shades of the “have you rebooted?” Troubleshooting question from 40 years ago. You’d think engineers could get this stuff correct.
