Were you thinking about something else while you were heading to the bathroom or did something get your attention? Sometimes while out right brain is playing with ideas our left brain follows through with a directive (get the pitcher) based on the last thing you did in that surrounding. Maybe the last time you were in the bathroom where water was involved you used the glass. This time your right brain could have been too busy to re-instruct the the left on needing a pitcher even though your already thought about it. The left does things in a stack of past actions, the right coordinates new information, decides and relays it to the left to do it. It's a concentration thing. That happens to me every once in a while.
