There was a wealthy family that lived in a huge house (their yard was the whole city block).
It was about 3 blocks from my best friend's house.
We ha Halloween 2 days then, so I'd go to his house one day, and he'd come to mine the next day.
Among their businesses was a 7Up bottling plant.
So, they'd give 2 full size candy bars, a bottle of 7Up, and a roll of pennies (50 cents) to every kid. Had to cost them hundreds of dollars each year.
The year of my Mr. Peanut costume, the lady manning the door liked it so much she tossed another roll of pennies in my sack!
