the 3 cats had something cornered. I averted my eyes and hurried by. I figured it was an insect of some sort as that has been their favorite targets. So then, yesterday, I saw a very fat mouse run out of my bathroom. Houdini was sleeping by me and I picked him up and dropped him next to the mouse. The next thing he did stunned me. Instead of moving into prey mode, he laid down, rolled over on his back, stretched out his front leg, retracted his claws and petted the mouse!!!!! I couldn't believe it. It was like he was hanging out with his best friend. No wonder that mouse is so fat!! Anyway, without any help from any of the 3 cats, I managed to sweep the mouse out of the house and into the garden. I have never seen anything like that.
