Gopher snake, (why in the world were they afraid of a gopher snake?) Anyway, gopher snake got itself trapped in some netting that was around a neighbor's tomato plant. I live in a rural area, so we have to do what we have to do to protect things from rabbits and squirrels.

Poor snake must have been trapped overnight, and was so cold and lethargic, didn't do anything to fight me.
Very carefully cut the netting from around the snake. Then put him in the sun so he could warm up.

I cannot count the number of times I have done the same for lizards! And I'm skittish around lizards, but I'll pick up a snake, as long as I know it can't kill me. Go figure!

Good for this man and all the other people who helped!
