The acorn crop is non existent, and the bears are starving. Our town had a pretty good grasp on citizen cooperation with bear proof trash cans and other mitigation reducing the number of bears looking for food in town, but bear population is in town in much greater numbers now, than in the past years. Good luck. Hope your bear finds someplace else for dinner.
