I had an adult sized bike. My parents did buy training wheels. for a kids bike. Needless to say it didn;t work, and the

I'm so old that we didn't have training wheels then. You just went off your trike and onto a bike and that was that.

My father told me he'd hang on to the seat while I pedaled and worked on balance.
