The DU Lounge

To be honest, I tend to like listening to music. When I was working, I'd have the music on low volume and it helped me to be productive. Often, I'd be working by myself and hearing it provided a relief from the silence. I do like to listen to music while taking long walks as well as soft music while reading.

The thing that gets me are the people with the large earphones listening to music while doing something with other people. I'm a bowler and I've seen people wearing the earphones during league bowling. Part of bowling is it is a social sport and wearing the earphones says "Leave me alone." If they want us to leave them alone then they shouldn't be wearing the earphones in a social setting.
