3. If a literary charater has a body for anything besides walking and war

the picklefaced book banners want it hidden away, preferably turned to ashes in whatever passes for a village square these days.

They slither out from under their rocks every few years but this is the most traction I' ve ever seen them get with school boards and the like, probably because red states give them so many enablers willing to sacrifice the education of their kiddies on the altar of "I wanna keep my soft job."

Banned books were my reading list, in any case, although I learned to spot and avoid the porn (too formulaic plus pages stuck together, ew) which left me the literature.

I have to hope the kids are paying close attention, since the book banners say it's all to keep them pure. They're being supplied with a stellar reading list, in paperback if not online. I'm sure some will go for it.
