I guess that there are a lot of aspiring wannabe journalists at DU. 
My background is in math, chemistry and data analysis so when my career ended I found a revived interest in history, politics, and the social sciences. I also found a few blogs to cover the war in Ukraine and posted them daily on DU. I like this blog because there is no sensationalism, and they provide maps and transcripts.
