Originally, he was planning to just advise the tenants to turn off all telephones, computers, and televisions during that time, but he had since found out that the warning would also affect all WiFi/Bluetooth-connected appliances, and might cause other, non-connected appliances to explode or catch on fire, so a full power cut was needed.
