Life in Russia is deteriorating: Putin's protracted war against Ukraine affected Russians - UATV [View all]
The Russian government is raising the conscription age, increasing weapons production and mobilizing people for war. And spending on the army in 2024 will amount to approximately a third of all state budget spending, the British Ministry of Defense reports, citing intelligence data. The Kremlin is probably counting on the fact that during a protracted war, the West will get tired of helping Ukraine. But it is silent about how this will affect the lives of Russians themselves.
