3. Unfortunately, a German Shepherd probably isn't going to be a good fit for the White House

unless it's an elderly dog. There are too many people running around the White House so that the dog would have a sense of familiarity with those people.

I ran into a similar situation this year with the neighbors downstairs. They brought in a pit bull as a puppy and a few months later it was a 35 pound dog who has crapping on the concrete patio downstairs while the temperature was over 100 degrees. The dog was digging at the wooden fence trying to get underneath it so it could escape. The man (an ex-con who wasn't on the lease) responsible for the dog would let it roam without a lease and there are children that are 3-4 years old in two other apartments on this side of the building. It was an accident waiting to happen, but the woman (who was on the lease) couldn't keep up with rent since neither of them had jobs and they were evicted earlier this month.
