I used to listen to people just like her almost 60 years ago but when their families heard them talking like that, they'd involve the family doctor and get the cultist of whatever description an involuntary vacation in a hospital where they might or might not be put on medication and they'd talk to nice men in white coats until the delusions started to break down and they could be transferred to a less secure unit.

I doubt this poor creature has 10 consecutive minutes of lucidity in a day. She was most likely always a religious nut, but it was well enough under control that she managed a reasonable life. Then TFG and Q got hold of her. She is not reasonable now. Her loose screw was a minor problem until this 1-2 punch loosened the rest of them.

I feel sorry for people who were suckered to this degree the same way I felt sorry for them when I worked in an intake unit in a mental hospital. I don't find them stupid as much as I find them desperate in searching for some lofty purpose to their lives. That sets them up for all sorts of con men, both religious and political.
