7. This is actually important pre-blame for a predictable disaster caused by Trump policies.

And of course, this dumb lazy administration selected their usual scapegoat of immigrants. What an unexpected strategy from this lot!

This administration wants to import Argentine beef. Traditionally, Argentine cattle/beef are not imported due to foot and mouth disease (aka hoof and mouth disease), a highly transmissible viral illness which causes massive losses to livestock (cattle and pigs being most relevant to US farmers). The US has successfully eradicated this disease and did so nearly a century ago. Argentina has not eradicated this disease.

When the Trump admin allows imports, and fails proper USDA oversight/inspections which we all know they will because that is literally their policy, this disease will be reintroduced causing massive losses in the livestock sector and -- you guessed it -- massive price increases for beef (and pork). THEY KNOW WHAT FIRE THEY ARE PLAYING WITH AND ARE DOING IT ANYWAY. Their knowledge of the risk they are taking can be seen by the groundwork they are laying to blame "the other" for the results of their own policies.
