Democrats should just shut up and watch Trump flail [View all]

emocrats steamrolled Republicans behind candidates who in every case seemed aligned with the electorates they will serve. Democrats won by embracing candidates with a range of ideologies and ages, bound together by their desire to make life better for average Americans, not just Trump’s plutocrat cronies.

What is more, Trump has had some of the worst days of his second presidency since those Democratic wins.

The ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal has exploded again with the release of incriminating emails that contradict Trump’s feigned ignorance about Epstein’s pedophile ring. The job market is weak and everyone knows Trump is to blame. Almost every day, he displays more signs of cognitive decline.

Democrats have forced a vote next month on extension of Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies, something the American public overwhelmingly supports but Republicans oppose. It obviously would have been great if Democrats could have won on this issue during the shutdown, but that was never going to happen. Planting a time bomb set to explode on Republicans in an election year is the next best thing.

Trump and his MAGA allies appear to be losing on every front, and he appears to become weaker — politically — week by week.

But it appears many Democrats never heard the adage, “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
