11. Declaring the situation hopeless serves the counter-resistance.

The regime is NOT all powerful. The American people are waking up and more and more recognize they must engage in ways they've never engaged before.

As Tad Stoermer points out, hope is the life's blood of resistance as much as lies are the life's blood of authoritarians.

They want us overwhelmed, cynical, hopeless and immobilized.

You can help them spread a false reality of hopeless doom, or you can find ways to REALISTICALLY recognize the challenge, and join with others in hope, faith in each other, and action.

That is how we fix this. An expanding feedback loop of hope and action grounded in the values that have driven every decent thing this nation has ever accomplished.

If your electeds are failing -- whether they be Democrats failing to do everything you expect of them or Trumpublican enablers, join with friends and neighbors, schedule a meeting with your electeds or senior staff. Don't just go to be heard. Go to ask pointed questions. Publish the answers. If those answers are shameful rationalizations for inaction, call on others to follow up with their reactions, as well as their own questions.
