2. Republicans have complete control of the federal government. If they can't keep it up and running, it's on them.

If they need Democratic votes to reopen the government because they don't have enough Republican votes to do so, then they should get their asses to the negotiating table like Schumer/Jeffries have been asking them to do all along.
