I thought I read that if Trump lost on appeal (which he has at least twice), the money would go to Carroll, and then Trump would have to sue her to get it back (and the people who loaned Trump the money to put into escrow would have to come after him to make good on the personal bonds he had to put up as collateral, including some of his properties).

Maybe it’s all been stayed in perpetuity until SCOTUS gets it - which is ridiculous on its face that it should even get that far- hopefully they will deny cert and it will be over. Their loyalty is not to Trump, but to the ideology behind his actions, and this suit has nothing to do with that.
