Whatever the reasons, personal profit, blackmail, international intrigue ... the plain fact is that rich and powerful people were involved, and given the need to cover up, VERY rich and powerful people. The rich have always had their sexcapades, such as the Bohemian Grove, and others suggested by the Kubrick movie "Eyes Wide Shut"
The "justice" in the U.S. works on two levels.

This is blatantly evident in the protection of pedos and the prosecution of immigrants.
Oligarchs must be protected.

All the delay is, IMO, due to DOJ using the AI machine to alter every single document, producing what's no more incriminating to the oligarchs than last month's losing betting slip or lottery ticket.

How does a Trump, so up to his eyeballs in Epstein camaraderie, protect those business tycoons, princes, politicians and who knows what else without incriminating himself? Well, that's the GOP dilemma. They will do everything they can to weasel out of it.
