Michael Cohen - Tariff Whiplash: Not Covered By Insurance [View all]

Trump’s tariffs aren’t economic blunders; they’re a brutal power play designed to punish, confuse, and profit off American pain while everyone pretends the chaos is just “part of the plan.”

Let’s talk tariffs—because what Trump is unleashing isn’t policy; it’s a full-blown economic horror show in disguise. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when economic policy is written on a cocktail napkin during a Mar-a-Lago $250,000-per-plate dinner and then weaponized by a man who thinks “trade deficit” is a personal insult, welcome to the freak show that is 2025.

Here’s the deal, my Substack readers. An appeals court just temporarily restored Trump’s beloved tariffs, throwing a Molotov cocktail into the engine room of the American economy—again. That’s right. After getting smacked down for overreaching on executive authority, Trump’s legal warhorses found a loophole and slipped the tariffs back in through the back door. If you thought the markets were a little jittery before, now they’re shaking like a Chihuahua in a hurricane.

And while Trump’s been busy bragging about how much money these tariffs are bringing in—as if the U.S. Treasury is his own private GoFundMe campaign for revenge politics—what he’s not telling you is how much they’re bleeding out of the rest of the economy. It’s like robbing your kid’s piggy bank to pay off your bookie. Sure, you’ve got cash on hand, but your future just went belly-up.
