The political climate exists for Democrats to take advantage of it and, using words we have used so many times before, get on top of the messaging and control the narrative.

Right now, the opposition to Trump is doing its own thing, without involving very many Democrats in the process, absolutely none of the "establishment Democrats." There's a lot of sitting around, moaning, complaining, and not many Democrats up off their rear ends actually doing anything more productive than whining.

The party needs reform, which is the point of this piece, and then it can take advantage of the growing opposition to Trump and turn it into votes. Until it does that, if they win in 2026, narrowly, it will be because Trump was so bad, not because they offered a real alternative. That's why I'm going to town halls and participating with groups organizing to get things done.
