I think one of the reasons we haven't seen the Dominionists raise their voices and their rules more loudly up to now has been they are waiting until the point where we're stressed to the max. At that point, they can institute their rules and laws governing religion in your life. For many of us, religion isn't a constant stressor in our lives. It ends up, I think, in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs with higher learning, etc., after our basic needs have been met... IOW, when the stress of our lives is smaller. Constantly pushing the disaster button in us, keeping our blood pressure high and our frustrations even higher, our first reaction is gonna be one of two paths... disregard religion altogether, or immerse yourself into it as a salve. Meanwhile, the Dominionists will grab each of those 7 Mountains they can possibly rule and force us into worshipping in their mold. Basically, be a slave to a certain, specific religion. That's one more of the Amendments trump doesn't really care about, except as it affects the dollar amounts coming from his theology puppet masters.

I hope we can cut through the chaos and mayhem before the worst of the theology mandates comes down. It'll be a whole new thing trying to rid ourselves of it, as well as trying to get our government out of corruption and back to working for us. If I was 40 years younger, I might look upon this eagerly as a challenge... much like I did Women's Rights in the 70's. But I'm old now, and decrepit of body. This is when I hope the younger generation will pick up the baton and finish running the race we started back in the 1960's.
