AOC would probably do well to prove her campaigning skills by winning the Senate seat, and then her governing skills by performing well for at least a few years. That might be with new legislation, but it might also be with her committee work.

It would offer her a chance to show that she's a coalition builder - we already know she has rock star charisma for younger voters, but she needs to build bridges beyond that.
