24. Spanberger didn't run for reelection to the House in 2024
Thu Nov 13, 2025, 03:50 AM
Thursday

and one of the Vindman twins (Eugene) actually won her seat last year!

Sherrill only announced Wed. that she had planned to submit her resignation "next week", although apparently when/how that happens is up in there air (including the NJ legislature currently in the process of changing their cumbersome special election process to speed it up) - https://newjerseyglobe.com/congress/gov-elect-sherrill-plans-to-submit-letter-of-resignation-from-house-next-week/

Just like Elise Stefanik who plans to run for governor in NY next year, the party leadership on both sides, are juggling how to handle the Congressional voting ability for "early" departing members given how close the split is in the House.
