In reply to the discussion: Trump 'doesn't care' if abandoned GOP seats are won by Democrats: ex-senator [View all]Scrivener7
(56,923 posts)31. Two possibilities, one good and one bad.
The bad one: he knows all future elections are rigged and he can do whatever he wants
The good one: he doesn't plan to run again and doesn't care what kind of trash heap he leaves for his party or our country when he goes.
I'm going to choose to be optimistic because I don't think he likes being president, and he only ran again to stay out of jail and get back at us for not electing him in 2020. I think he thinks (rightfully, as we have learned all too well) that no one has the spleen to make him pay for his crimes, so he doesn't have to run again.

It's also about his power to run the government as he wants, with no guardrails left in place.

I wish we could get a super majority in the House and Senate because we could get rid of the moron.

How about if we don't have majority in the Senate, Thomas or Alito could leave and be replaced by someone younger.

I honestly think he's aware of his failing health (dementia) and knows he will not be in office by then. Speculation is

You don't think his brown shirts will block every single polling place in swing states?

Maybe because Congress and the Courts have given over so much power to the Presidency
