I have seen the last place finisher, Jasmine Crocket, a lot in the news.

Jasmine finishing last in the steering committee vote must mean she is too much of a fighter, or too progressive?

Who picks the people on the House steering and policy committee, I assume House members?

I did Google Garcia, and he originally registered to vote as a Republican, he gave a reasonable explanation as to why he was a Republican in his early life. Garcia did switch and became a Democrat, my guess is if one wants to become mayor of Long Beach one needs to be a Democrat.
