Slander and libel are both crimes, even if you're a first-time offender. Lying to hurt a business is still illegal whether or not you've ever had any other 'vices'. We don't need any past acts to get him on this crime. He did it. End of story.

And I believe trying to get into a facility with children that is secured for very good reasons is attempted trespass, also illegal. Can you imagine the trouble the daycare would have been in if they'd permitted just anybody to walk in off the street? There could have been kidnaps, there could have been shooting. There could have been a repeat of Annunciation or any other horror story out of the news. He had no right to be there, let alone come inside. To have a right, he'd have had to get police with a warrant involved. Hmm, I wonder why he didn't. Oh, yeah - he knew damn well there was nothing going on.
