If he was serious about it, all he has to do would be to tell his ~~Attorney General~~ lacky in the DOJ to release the files. Simple as that.

This is just more posturing and bluffing.

I bet that in the likelihood of the thing passing the House, he’s got an ace-in-the-hole over in the Senate. Hell, because the Senate doesn’t have a mechanism like the House’s discharge petition, Thune will just put it in the round file as soon as he gets it.
