In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Greene said she believed the rupture was largely due to her support for the release of the Department of Justice files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She said that by calling her a “traitor,” Trump could encourage the type of political violence that she and others have expressed concern over in recent months. “Those are the types of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger,” she said.
