and suggest they didn’t sign up because they got off on hurting people, but because the job a) was easy to get due to nearly non-existent standards, and b) paid better than any other job available to an unqualified, unskilled person. They’re doing it for the money.

Not exactly the moral high ground, but not evil either. Now, if they start thugging it up like their ICE compatriots, then they’ve allowed themselves to be corrupted by the evil they’re swimming in.
