5. Yes he does if both the House and Senate pass it

This will be very telling of our legislators. Who in the House and Senate would vote for what would be a coverup of a real pedophile ring.

That this will have a vote in the House is a very big deal. Until the vote, much will be said about who Epstein, Maxwell are. There will be questions about everyone around him, including his BFF for 15 years. I would imagine all of those involved in hindering putting an end to that ring and the sweetheart deal that did allow Epstein to continue his disreputable actions still partying with the elite. The vote can be framed as whose side are you on? It's a choice between the victims or protecting the victimizers and those who protected the victimizers.

I would bet that this week leading up to the vote will be extremely hard for many Republicans. That is actually sad as the moral choice is obvious.

It is very likely it passes the House and is sent to the Senate. There will be incredible pressure for a vote there especially if the vote is a landslide in the House. If it comes to a vote, the Republican senators will be in the position the House is now. Thune will be seen to have voted against it if he does not bring it to a vote.

If it passes the Senate, it will have at least 60 votes. Trump will face the choice of the legislators AND the public knowledge that he could well be protecting himself by hiding proof he did something despicable, legal or not. If the Senate vote was over 67 and the House also above 2/3 he might have his veto overridden.

Note that this outlines at least the next 2 months or more where the Epstein story is one of the top stories. It either pushes the Republicans away from Trump or labels them with voting against investigating this real sex trafficking.

Even if one House or the other does not get the votes or they can't override a veto, this will be weeks of coverage of Epstein. At this point, it is proven that Maxwell lied to Blanche and he likely or should have known. ( May be as simple as having involved Comey's daughter in the interrogation instead of firing her.)

While exposing everything should be the goal, this most definitely increases the cost of continuing to hide it.
