11. I agree. And the closer we get to the 2028 election, the less sway he'll have with congressional GOPers

The less amount of time a president has in his lame duck term, the less influence they're usually able to exert over their party, because congresspeople know they just have to wait out the president until his term is over.

Especially if the midterms are ugly, both house and senate republicans will start putting distance between themselves and him.
