9. "Miracle Mile" (1988) Nuclear war nightmare movie...

Guy picks up a call at a phone booth, mis-dialed by a soldier in a missile silo who thinks he is calling his father---
Soldier tells him that they are 'locked into countdown', 50 minutes to "nuclear fucking war!"

Was set in L.A., thus the title...

Wasn't a happy movie, to say the least--- and the main characters wasted too much time
getting the hell out of LA....

Long review:

Purportedly free on Pluto.tv and Tubi, if I recall correctly...
I saw this in the late '80s, and had it on VHS tape---
but it wasn't a movie I wanted to watch too many times,
unless I was in a particularly dark mood.... fair warning. No happy ending here.
