32. I'm not denying the fascism on our doorstep

And yes, all the things you mention are happening. But what is also happening are Americans fighting back in the streets, in the courts, even in halls of Congress where the message of resistance is beginning to get traction.

The shutdown ended on a sour note. But there are more balls in the air--the Epstein files, the worsening economy, the mind-blowing grift and corruption, the continuing cruel and lawless roundup of immigrants, etc., and yes, even the endless battle for affordable healthcare.

Along with the 2026 midterms will be primaries which means dissatisfied Dems can choose candidates to better reflect their views and their demands for reform. The No Kings group, Indivisible, reportedly plans to drop significant funds into those primaries and help elect more progressive candidates. Mamdani's spectacular win in NYC is a huge opportunity to show that progressive ideas with the right leadership can and will work, even in a sprawling city the size of New York.

But Dems and the country have to get to the 2026 elections in one piece for that to happen. We also need to be prepared that Trump and Republicans will do everything and anything to upturn, rig and poison the vote.

I'm guessing the 2026 elections will be the genuine turning point.

We gotta be ready,
