She hit #9 in 1974 with "Never Can Say Goodbye" which was truly one of the most important early disco songs in terms of crossing over to straight white audiences. However, that and "I Will Survive" were her only 2 songs to ever hit the Top 40 in the US. She actually did have a bit more success in the UK.
