Deadline looks to be mostly the entertainment industry (largely California based), but also has political and international coverage.

I wouldn't expect Yahoo themselves to use a phrase like "increasingly authoritarian rule" but it's cool they're publishing the article. They syndicate articles from across the political spectrum.
