I thought I was the only one and it was scary as hell. Finally after abut 30 years I find out the bastard had been after little girls since his teens. As far as I know he never stopped because nobody caught him and MADE him stop. And I do know there was at least one adult who knew and kept silent, because keeping secrets runs through generations. And there was some sad story about his own childhood — but to hell with that — I am a believer in free will and conscience.

People can be treated for mental illness with some success. But sociopaths and psychopaths are without conscience, and do not respond to treatment.

“Ableist” my rosy Irish ass. A predator is a predator.
