We need a student exchange program similar to the old Foreign Exchange Student program, but for rural/urban young people. When we break thru the programed cultural divide, we would be a people harder to hoodwink with propaganda and fear.
Sadly the oligarchs have taken too much power and they want to keep dividing us because they can't keep control if we are a united people. I firmly believe that is also why they feed hate, fear, suspicion towards other peoples, cultures, religions. It really feels like the US oligarchs (many of whom actually hale from other nations) are building a new version of the old Soviet Iron Curtain, separating Americans from the rest of the world, lest we explore ideas beyond what the oligarchs want us to believe/accept.
Isolationism is a very dangerous thing and it is too well established here already. Urban/rural... white/brown.... Xian (I reserve "Christian" for those who actual practice rather than just preach) Jewish, Zionist, Islamic, radical Islamic Buddhist, Hindi.... you name it, keeping us at each others' throats does not serve anyone but the extreme global elites.
