6. The cuts are a done deal

And no, it isn't going to all go away. While I vehemently disagree with the cuts, federal funding is around 15% of PBS/NPR funding.

I'm guessing (hoping) that increased donations from viewers, corporations, and foundations will make up the difference.

We're going to start donating, but we're looking at whether we want to donate to our local PBS station (WETA) or to a station that is more rural and thus has a higher dependency on federal funding.
