Specifically, according to the indictment, handed down in 2020, Maxwell assisted, facilitated, and participated in Epstein’s abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18. The criminal charges brought against her included the following: enticement of a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts with Epstein and Maxwell herself; conspiracy, with Epstein, to entice minors to travel to commit illegal sex acts with Epstein; transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity by Maxwell and the minor; conspiracy, with Epstein, to transport minors to engage in criminal sexual acivity with Epstein and Maxwell herself; and two counts of perjury. She was found guilty of all of the charges except the first one.

As noted, the indictment was a brought in 2020, while Trump was president; the conviction was obtained in 2021 by the Biden DOJ.
