10. He's running a criminal organization. I think being beholden to him is exactly how to advance in the organization.

He clearly doesn't promote or appoint or support or whatever based on merit. It's based on loyalty. And how does he trust the loyalty is not mere words?

Like a mob boss, he delegates based on how much he can control the person he's delegating to, which is most likely based on how much kompromat he has in them.

Think about it. If you've never broken a law, never cheated on your spouse or taxes, never done anything shady, always honest and upright... why would Donnie want you around?

I think they seek it out and make sure of it. I think he's got something on everyone around him. If he doesn't, you get primaried or fired and replaced.
