8. Follow up on the Boston taxi--it was a scam

I checked with the hotel and the transport there. The $49.25 “new standard fare” from Logan into town was a fake. There is no such fare. The meter had been rigged with a phony rate. It’s not the extra $15 that I’m pissed about losing. It’s the petty thievery I hate. I expect this of Albanians in Vienna, not of cabs at Boston. For the first time ever, I will be making a complaint to the Boston taxis and the cops, as there is zero chance this scam was only thought up for my benefit.
