I was only about 12 to 13 then and it was so long ago now 😁 They probably did. Memory is a strange thing. I don’t know why we remember certain things so distinctly, and not others.
My mother made me a gorgeous dress for the trip, and for some reason I never got to wear it. She could sew like people for haute couture.
