57. This is sad . . .

angering, frustrating and just plain wrong. BUT . . . it is also reality. This last election shows that too many people in this country are motivated by bigotry, prejudice, sexism and racism. Yes, we have to work to change that. But in the meantime, making sure that a Democrat is elected in the next election is paramount , regardless of whether we agree with 110% of the candidate's positions or they represent the best of our values. Electability is the key criteria, and too many people in this country are not ready for a gay president.
