(57,952 posts)Frankly, it didnt feel any differently than 69. I was still working then, Im still working now. Our daughters are a little older, as are our grandchildren. At least now all of them can talk.
Actually, as I type this, I am in the main Paris airport, having left Dallas last night, and am waiting for my flight back to Düsseldorf, where my wife will pick me up. No big changes so far. The plane from Dallas to Paris (Air France) was full, mostly Americans, and no one seemed to have any issues with EU immigration. I guess the test of fire comes when my wife and I leave for Boston in July.
I hope your big 70 is as uneventful as mine was. Neither of my parents made it to 80, and only one of my grandparents did. Time to start wondering about all those trips we have been putting off these past 35 years.
