Because the friends I have on Facebook or Instagram also have their own friends on Facebook or Instagram, it probably won't be easy for them to change. Many of my friends stick to one or the other. If say they move to exclusively Bluesky, then not only would their friends have to do it, but then the friends of those people would also have to do that, and so on. It just gets get very complicated. While I do have Bluesky, I only would only accept people of whom I have known personally for a while. Nowadays anybody can just set up an account and it's not something that would be good. There are a lot of bot accounts on social media, and I often get requests from people I do not know. Also, because I live in Florida, when hurricane season is around, I put updates on Facebook and Instagram on things like where it is going, how strong it is, etc. I don't look at the local channels because they often take too long to get to it.
Yeah, for example, on Amazon, I often get music software, synthesizers, computers, etc. But due to SSI limits, I could not afford most of those things I would want by itself, even if I was working. Hence why I save up on gift cards because many of the stuff would be beyond what I could spend on due to SSI. But again, that is what I am fiercely against the government taking away SSI. If say I had a job and then lose it, without SSI, I would be in serious trouble. It already is difficult to contact them as it is. When I was working at Publix in Lakeland, and again, this wasn't my fault, but I worked too many hours. I had to send them pay stubs, financial stuff, etc., because they want to cut SSI completely. I went over the $2,000 limit. My parents had to pay a bunch of back taxes, and it was not easy at all. So it is a very delicate balance.
