Consolidation happened under both parties.

In 2016 Monsanto and Bayer merged under the Obama administration.

The republican party, (now MAGA) is not interested in anything that helps the American people.

The republican party has never been interested in anything that helps the American people.

We have 2 parties:

One is evil and destructive.

One is unable to adequately message the destruction the other party is causing.

The Bayer-Monsanto Merger: The major Bayer-Monsanto merger was announced and under review during the final months of the Obama administration, but the investigation and final decision on the deal occurred during the subsequent Trump administration. The Trump administration's DOJ eventually approved the $66 billion acquisition in May 2018, but only after requiring Bayer to divest approximately $9 billion in assets to a competitor, BASF, to address competition concerns.
