How Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert Have Weakened Donald Trump - Glenn Kirschner
Dictators (and aspiring dictators) hate when comedians make fun of them, as can be seen from Donald Trump's railing against and trying to ban from the airwaves Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers and others.
The reality is that the Jimmy Kimmel affair actually highlighted Trump's weakness as an aspiring dictator. Trump wanted Kimmel off air permanently, yet Kimmel returned to TV just one week after being pulled, and is now more popular than ever. That's right - the comedian beat the aspiring dictator.
I sat down with my friend and long-time, accomplished comedian Pete Dominick. Pete is also one of the best interviewers in the business. He interviews the leading voices across the broadest possible spectrum of issues of the day.
One of Pete's highest profile mediums as a stand-up comic was as the warm-up act for The Colbert Report with Stephen Colbert on Comedy Central. He has also filled in as the warm-up act for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on over 100 episodes.
Pete had his own show on Sirius XM radio for more than a decade. He also had a recurring segment on CNN called, "Pete on the Street."
Pete's podcast, "Stand Up! with Pete Dominick" is among the best, most informative, and most diverse podcasts available. Pete has an uncanny ability to find leading voices of the day on a broad array of topics, including: politics, law, religion, race, energy, education policy, environmental issues, civil rights, voting rights, veterans' issues, parenting, relationships, entertainment, and , of course, comedy, and so much more.
Pete is also the recipient of the Team Justice 2024 Justice Warrior Award for his tireless work in pursuing justice for all. - Glenn Kirschner - 11/16/2025.
